Sunday

Wednesday August 9th

This morning no morning excursions because we were having a big breakfast at the house. Jennifer started and soon everyone was jumping in to help. We had bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, some of the steaks from Sunday night as well as home grown tomatoes and biscuits.

Another picture when you let a 3 year old have the camera. Here comes sleeping beauty the birthday girl, today she turns double digits "10".
Another picture of the kitchen this time being used.
My little buddy Hunter the friendliest kid in the whole house you don't have to look hard to see his wings and halo.
What a great meal, we cleaned up and then rolled ourselves down to the beach for some sun and fun. The water was warm and wonderful, we had a great time watching the kids all play together and still not the first fight(knock on wood). We headed up to the house so the kids could eat some lunch and pool time. Tonight we decided to go to Landry’s and headed out just before 5. Just one other family wanted to go out tonight and try this great restaurant. I called ahead to make sure we could get in before the rush and when we arrived we walked right to our table. We had a coupon for the crab dip appetizer and it was great as usual. Mandy had the blackened Salmon and said it was good but not as good as it was at Margaritaville. I had seafood over angel hair pasta and mine was really good, the kids had popcorn shrimp and loved it. Everything was going great and Landry’s started to get busy and the last time the waitress came to our table until tracking her down to ask about the surprised bananas foster to celebrate Sloan’s birthday. Then it seemed like forever again until we got our check, I am not sure if she was overwhelmed or what but that can ruin a good meal. After dinner it started to rain and Mandy wanted to go to just one store so the kids and I watched a movie in one of the simulators. It was a movie about a roller coaster in a kids room which the kids thought was cute(I guess they are growing up) We met up with Mandy and headed to the car, we had promised the kids that we would go to the Pavilion since it was it’s last year. But the heavy rains and a lawnmower accident back in April ruined that. We were going to let them ride some of the one they could ride by themselves or ones that Mandy would go on. But again the rain and lightning continued so we decided to head back to the house so we could celebrate another birthday party at the beach house. We stopped by the Christmas Mouse on 17 Bus. Around 20th street, with claps of thunder And streaks of lightning the store filled up with people getting out of the storm. When we left we headed towards Garden City and down memory lane as well with comments like remember eating there, and telling the kids “that used to be Myrtle Beach Grand Prix” or that used to be a water slide. The changes in MB and the Grand Strand are too numerous and I hope all is for the better. We made it back to the house and everyone was ready for another cake and gifts. Sloan made out like a little beach bandit and was so happy because she had a party at the beach and will get to have another when we get home.

Today I (wink wink)
got to make a cake for my little girl After all that hard work she makes a wish and blows out the candles.
You can tell by the look on her face she knows it is her special day.
Until you tell her that she is going to have to wait till we get back home before she can actually open her gifts.
Officer Dee checking the security of the house . . .or maybe just some fireworks down by the ocean.
Cutting the cake getting ready to serve.

Little O playing hard to get, but she can't go too long without Uncle Chapy getting a hug.

The toy of the week Tamagotchi
Thanks Amy for her Tamagotchi
There were 6 or 7 of the toys beeping all week long and to see the kids rush around trying to figure out which ones was making the noise was as entertaining for the adults as it was for the kids.

The kids started to drop like little tired flies and soon we had them all in bed but now all the adults were to tired to do anything else but go to bed themselves. How is it that when you go to the beach you don’t do anything but sleep, eat and sit on the beach each night you feel exhausted???
